My original sticker on the 2007 manual transmission reads 26 city and 30 highway. The 2015 manual transmission reads 23 city and 30 highway. What gives? How did we lose 3 MPG on the same 2.4 engine with a manual transmission?

I've noticed the same thing. My 2010 FDI rated 21/24 where latter models with the same CVT and engine are rated up to 27 hwy. I'm curious to know the answer on this as well.
