Just got my Patriot last Tuesday, and my office is next to a construction company that plays in the dirt all day. Needless to say I had a nice layer of dust by the end of the week. Wash and wax on Sunday...picked up some Armor-All Wax as you Dry stuff 75% off last year at Auto Zone. Very convenient (goes on wet or dry). No buffing. Not exactly a true wax job, but quick and easy and really shined up my black pearl Patriot. Works on plastic too, so no worries about the grill. Wasn't sure about waxing the plastic grill/bumpers, though they seem to have a clear coat.

Im a big fan of the Eagle One stuff as well. And i further support that statement after the fiasco I had on Saturday night. Between the Wipe and shine detailer, the Nano-protectant interior cleaner, and the 20/20 glass cleaner, shes as good as new:) minus the unknown contents of my door panel......

Good to know that the Yes Essentials fabric lived up to the expectations, Wxman! Maybe you could drill a tiny hole in the low poart of the door and just let the, hmm, ...stuff drain. Just kidding, I'm sure that taking apart the door would be much easier.

About Eagle One's Wax-as-u-dry product, maybe the problem would be getting all the wax on the abundant glass and plastic of the Patriot. You don't want wax on glass and plastic areas. I'd stick the usual shampoos for the regular washes and then waxing every 3-4 months. For plastic trim, I've found that Poorboy's Trim Restorer does wonders. It makes plastics look so much better that you have to be careful to apply it evenly without forgetting any small area, because you'll be able to tell where the product wasn't applied.

Turtle Wax, the regular green stuff, works great, lasts a long time and is $3 a bottle and can conservatively cover 3 vehicles. Ice is like $17.
+1 for the good ole green stuff in a can. I know there are probably better and longer lasting waxes out there but it's cheap, been around forever and works fine.

Fortunately for me in this case, my seats are vinyl:D

I stay away from the wax-as-u-dry stuff, I just use the wipe and shine detailer, you can put it on anything and it doesnt leave any of that cloudy white garbage on the plastic. I use the nano protect on all the exterior plastic too, works like a champ and makes all the weather stripping shiny and new again:)

I like Liquid Glass. Been using it for years.

I use Klasse All-In-One (AIO) and their Glaze/Polish.

It's a bit pricey, but a little bit goes really far.

If you're really ocd, you can apply 2 coats of polish, then a very LIGHT coat of wax for an incredibly DEEP shine.

I've been using Klasse since 2001, and I've only gone through two 16oz bottles of the the All-In-One, and still on my original 16oz bottle of the polish.

Use a microfiber applicator for the AIO, and a seperate one for polish. Then use seperate dry microfiber cloths to wipe off.

When using the glaze, use a VERY light coat. If it's too thick, then you'll get a sore arm/shoulder trying to wipe it off. I recommend 2 light coats.

Wow, Swissvax... That's among the ferraris of car waxes. Which one did you use?
