Here it is!
Its not a good value, 26K for a 4 cylinder?

Pros: Looks cool and feels cool
Cons: Price is never near the base price
What a lie. A big fat lie. All the television shows, commercials, and Jeep representives say that the Patriot is a great value for it will start at about 16000.00. For a car / SUV this size, that sounds reasonable. But good luck finding a Patriot for under 20,000.00 even without 4X4.
Its a bad value. I test drove the Off Road rated model and sticker priced at $26,000. And the sales guy had the nerve to tell me that they wouldn't cut any off the price and then had the nerve to tell me I couldn't find a car like this for the same price. Well, considering that I just came from a Nissan Dealership and saw the sticker prices of Nissan 4X4 Crew Cab Frontiers with V6 engines for $26000, I'd say I found it.
The Jeep Patriot is supposed to be the "entry level" Jeep and should keep its word by staying under 20K. But it doesn't. If you want to pay 26K for a 4 cylinder SUV that doesn't hold up under time, then go ahead, waste your money.
Far as the test drive, the car is under powered on acceleration but overall the car does feel cool to be in without making you feel like you are in a small whimpy station wagon or something.
