What do you store in your cargo area?

Just as the topic states, what do you store in your cargo area? I've been looking at the new Cherokee storage options and thinking of Patriot ideas. I would think a off-road recovery bag and first aid bag as the two most important but what else? In case you haven't seen here is one of the new Cherokee storage systems:

Ive got 2 fishing poles and tackle, a tow rope, first aid kit, and 3 paintball guns with plenty of room to spare. Most of it is tucked under the deck where the spare tire is. The paintball guns are on a rack that is attached to the back of the back seat.

right now, a couple handheld CB's under the floor(with the spare tire), a couple ratchet straps, some zipties and Armor-all wipes in the backseat, a tool kit behind the driver's seat, etc.

A couple of plastic painter's tarps, some changes of clothing, those white disposable overalls, duct tape, extra large industrial garbage bags, Lysol and nitrile gloves.

Oh, and a small shovel.

Because you never know, eh?

Coast Guard approved emergency food, roll of toilet paper, ka-bar knife with scabbard and belt, multitool, 4 way lug wrench, jumper cables, ball cap, a couple towels, emergency blanket, tow strap and a couple other things. All around the spare tire. Extra water goes in the back when I go on a trip. (still need to put the small shovel in there)

Do groceries count?

A good field knife. Good cargo cover to keep cargo on the roof dry. Tie down line. A black blanket which is my cargo cover. Vinyl cargo floor cover. Tool bag. Other stuff comes and goes between 3 vehicles.

Congrats to Metaxa on the decision to stop smoking. 30 years for me one day at a time.

All very good items, except for the Breaking Bad gear hahaha. Over the next month or so I'll be accumulating things to start carrying on board. Just recently I started carrying again a short handled (4') steel shovel due to the snow this year. I took it out for a few years because the golf clubs took priority.

I carry
a tire pump that hooks up directly to the battery
tow rope with loops (not hooks)
3/4" plywood
Little shovel
3 Gallon home depot bucket

First aid kit
phone charger

Dead bodies... oh wait... that's in the 1970 El Dorado.

Air pump, jumper cables, foldable multi-tool and a couple of rags (for emergencies). That's about it really.

I have some ratchet straps, toilet paper, road side emergency kit (jumper cable, mag light, multi tool, folding saw, and hatchet). In the seat cover compartments, I have sun block, bug spray, baby wipes, and for a while I had a jar of moonshine.

I keep this behind the passenger seat with a few basic tools. I keep a small Rubbermaid tub in the cargo area with a small bottle of detail spray and a microfiber towel, and keep it mostly empty for if I have to move anything that could leak. In the spare compartment I keep an emergency blanket, a few space blankets, a bottle of water, jumper cables, bungee cords, ratchet straps, a tow strap, a couple protein bars, and my multitool.

Changes a lot, depending on where I'm going, and what I may be doing.

And I have to wonder how you guys fit all that stuff in with the spare? My spare barely fits. Although I do have gloves and fold-able chocks in there.

I always have a first aid kit, that can handle any trauma. Has an emergency blanket in it too.

Now is still winter, so I also have 4 tire chains, a small shovel, and a saw, and washer fluid.

Towels, I always have towels cause you just never know when you'll have a day warm enough you can wash your car. Along with the towels I keep a half roll of quarters, for the car wash, in a 35MM film container.

A tow strap and a come-along.

Several flashlights

As with others, most of my stuff is down in spare tire well. It includes tools, a heavy jacket, a can of oil, and a tire pump that plugs into the car.

Since all the fluids still won't fit, I also keep some on the floor behind the passenger seat since I rarely have three passengers.

LOL, so i'm the only one that keeps TP in the back. I guess you all wipe the old toothless wonder with leaves and moss if you get in a tight spot. :D :D :D

You gotta get one of those trailer hitch mounted toilet seats too! Then you can really be prepared for a remote adventure in no man's land.

The only items that I have in my cargo area are the only items that I need to survive in a SHTF scenario.

Cargo Area:
B.O.B. - Bug Out Bag
Camping Tent
Kukri
Many Magpul Pmags and Glock mags hidden throughout vehicle

Under Floor (spare tire storage):
Daniel Defense MK18 SBR
Tow Cables
Jumper Cables
Small Electric Air Compressor
Flare Gun

under floor with spare tire:
tow strap, ratchet straps, rags, duct tape, jumper cables, and some cleaning supplies
In the cargo area:
tool bag with tool kit put together by me for this vehicle. Screwdrivers, sockets, wrenches, flashlight, electrical tape, selection of pliars and a small electrical splice kit
In the glove compartment:
gloves!, another flashlight, tire gauge, ice scraper

I think that's it.
