Looking to buy heavy floor mats for the beach (sand). Which are better ??? I don't like the idea that I have to cut to fit the Weathertech cargo area mat. Also Weathertech doesn't list for the 2012 but does for the 2011.... they are the same... right ??

Thanks Be Safe JIM

I have the weathertech mats in my jeep and have not been as happy with them as I have in the past. I had them in my element and my ram and loved them in both of those vehicles. In the jeep the drivers mat won't stay in place and slides forward and back. It gets annoying at times. I am planning on replacing them with the husky liners at some point.

I just bought the WeatherTech digitalfit and they fit perfectly. It looks of good quality. I thought it might be slippery but not. I am very pleased with the purchase

The Husky Liners do cover more of the floor pan as can be seen in the photos in the link. However, I have to say that my Weathertech's cover all the floor I need them to. I wear size 16EEEE footwear and they cover all areas of the floor my feet get near/on. I can't see how anyone would need more coverage unless they had size 24 feet or were covered head to toe in mud or something?

I used to run Husky liners in my trucks. However I always had the same gripe with them and that was they rolled/curled in at the edges. I have never had a Weathertech that did anything but hold it's original shape 100%. Never had a Husky Liner that held it's original shape 100% for more than a few months.

Bottom line is either will work. Pick the brand you like best. Husky Liners have worked well for me but Weathertech Liners have worked better so that is what I went with.

My Husky's haven't curled and I've had them for 4+ years.

We have a set of WeatherTech mats in our van, and I forgot how little of the dead pedal they cover.

The Husky liners always seem to cover the dead pedal...which we use in both vehicles.

My cousin has the weathertech and they are positively shorter by the dead pedal and along the whole front by about 3 inches and over all along the sides the husky's are a bit higher. My opinion is that the Husky's give you better protection. My mats haven't bacon curled in my Dodge Ram and I had them in for the past three years.

Just curious, NHPATRIOT, what color were the Huskys in your trucks? My black Huskys seem to retain shape better than the gray ones I bought for the Commander.

Black and Gray both. Used Husky's in all of my trucks from the early 90's on so you are talking like 6 trucks. In EVERY ONE they curled.

I actually last used Husky Liners in a truck in my 2005 Silverado. They curled so bad in that truck I tried the Weathertechs as a replacement. Haven't gone back since other than 1 vehicle.

I ended up using Husky Liners in my 2008 Chevy Equinox as the Weathertech liners fit for crap. It was a big issue with the Equinox and Weathertech liners. They didn't fit well for anyone. The Husky's fit properly but as with my trucks the curled/rolled in at the edge.

My Brother has a set in his 2006 F250( Gray )and they are all rolled/curled something HORRENDOUS!

Do you have any squeaking in your driver seat? I am of similar build (weigh a bit less) and I've started to get squeaking in my driver seat on the right side. I've seen a few other forum posts about it and my local dealer has a part on order to try and correct the problem with mine.

Sorry to jack the thread but it was funny when the service guy who was half my size said, "I couldn't get it to make that sound no matter how hard I tried" after they were ready to give it back to me. Upon sitting in it and the seat making the sound again I suggested it might just be a "weight issue". HAHA.

Yup, my driver's seat has developed "squeaks" of protest to my fat behind sitting in it. Seems to be much worse when it is cold.

If it is on the right side it may not be your seat though. Could be your center console. Mine REALLY squeaks and it drives me nuts. The seat squeaking isn't that bad but the CC squeak is really annoying.
