I just ordered a set of Weather Tech Floor Liner Digital Fit for my Patriot. I will be receiving them on Friday, January 16, 2009. I will be posting pictures of the unboxing. I know its just floor liners, but I am exited about them. I hope it will keep my interior cleaner.

You should be excited! I was so excited to get my Husky Liners. It took me a lot of time to decide between the weather tech and the huskies. I went with Huskies because the floor coverage was a little more comprehensive, but I did like the look of the weather tech more.

Enjoy, you will be very happy with your upgrade.:smiley_thumbs_up:

My liners have been very helpful and I am sure you will find the Weather Techs just as helpful keeping all this nasty weather off your floor.

Our Compass has the Husky, my Patriot has the Weathertech. They are both good liners. I like the look of the Weathertech better. However I noticed yesterday my Weathertechs are folding in at the outermost edge along the door sill. Not serious, it's just that they aren't tight against the sill like they used to be. When I get time I'm going to try to form it back with a heat gun.

Yes! and FYI.....I have captured and removed at least a gallon of salty water that would have soaked into the rug in the 10 months I've owned the Patriot.
The plastic floor liners are far less expensive than replacing the floor in 10 years.
Of all the old cars I've owned, (many of you have seen the list) ALL of them rusted from the inside out through the floor! Floor liners! YES! A good investment.

I hear from other SUV owners that these are "the best!"

I ordered the front floor liners from weathertech on the 19th. I'm in toronto and they have an office in hamilton. Shouldn't have to wait too long for it to arrive once they ship it. Just waiting for the shipping confirmation email. Also if anyone knows where I can get step bars / nerf bars here in toronto please let me know. Thanks

Yes, I ordered them online at weathertech.com As promised, here are the pictures. Note: After extensive review, I have found out that these weather mats are indeed the best out there; my opinion of course. However, nothing is perfect. Their are two things that i would like to change. Due to the material of the mats, you really do get visible dust footprints on the mats; however, it is so easy to clean that it really makes no difference, and boy how it protects. Secondly, the rear mats are perfect as far as staying in place, the thing I would like changes is to have them stretched out further so that they can go deeper into the front seats. I believe someone else stated this too.
I think I made the best choice by going with black. I spent almost 200 with shipping and handling on these babies and believe me, I was sweating it out during the online check out. I was so concerned about the color, but it indeed turn out just fine. I like how the Patriot has hints of black in the interior. The mats go very well with it. :smiley_thumbs_up:

I have the same Mopar slush mats, the material is acceptable, but the coverage is way off the mark! The Weathertech is the way to go, but cost 3X as much as the Mopar! Guess you get what you pay for.

Hi Folks,

I do like the looks of the Weather Tech mats that DJ XS has , and they have better coverage than the Jeep "Slush Mats" that I purchased for winter and davecanuck has.

I did purchase a Husky rear liner, and that works just fine when I put wet stuff back in the cargo area.

Also DJ XS, I noticed you have what appears to be a "Dash Mat". I purhased a Dash Mat last summer, and it seems to cut down on interior road noise and softens the look of the interior.

Attached are photos.

Hogdad, yes, I do have a Dash Mat on my Patriot. You are absolutely right about the road noise. One thing I was not quite pleased with, but can overlook is that since I have the BA radio system, their are tweeters up on the dash. Due to the design of the dash mat, it covers the tweeters. Its not that bad a muffled sound that is produced... I can live with it. I noticed from your picture that it does not cover as extensively the area adjacent to the driver/passenger window. I think these vents are for defrost. In any case, they do not interfere with your vent, and nor do mine, although mine do cover more surface area. In any case, I like yours as it is practically the same color as mine. I had a comment in regards to the choosing of my color and despite the comment, I believe I made the best choice. To each his own in my opinion. I have provided a link so that you can see a full detail of my pictures on my patriot. The link is within this forum. DASHMATS

Way to go Mooseki! How do you like them so far? Can you take a couple of pictures from a further stance so that we can see the rest of your interior? Enjoy! You will love the clean up's, they are so easy.

Jayz, I can't believe that finally somebody's made some proper mats for an off-roader. The big bugbear with all mats that you see is (obviously) that the stones and the crud eventually find their way to the edge and then underneath the mat. I've never seen anything this sensible over here; not, like, ever.

I just thought I would update my own thread. After about 6 months with my weathertech mats, I have to say that on a scale from 0 to 10 I would have to rate then a 7.5 My reasoning is as follows... its all about the rear. The rear mats that is. I have to constantly move them back into location. The passengers keep shifting them out of their fitted locations. The floor liners themselves are warping out of shape a bit. This problem had been stated by another user here, but I thought it wouldn't be this bad. They still provide good protection, but only if the rear passenger is younger that a teenager. Adult feet will not allow the floor linters to stay in place. Would I recommend weathertech products? Yes. Front and rear liners for the Patriot. No. I would only seriously recommend the front ones.

DJ XS, thanks for the update.

I considered the Weathertech, because of the "deep dish" design, but went with the Husky Liner Mats instead.

I had already purchased the rear Husky Cargo Liner, and found it to be excellent, and I like the all rubber mat because I can just hose them off, and they dry quickly.

I have not had any adults in the back since my Husky purchase, but with 2 & 4 year old granddaughters, they do the job quite well.

I had originally purchased the Jeep slush mats, but wanted more floor coverage.

Don't know if they are standard here for Sport, my LTD came with carpet mats & that is the first thing i chucked out. The rubber Mopars cost $44; should have gotten the Weathertech.:(

Get the weathertech..I bought them online....early one morning, payed by credit card over the phone...arrived next day by courier.
They are the ultimate!!! Fits like a glove. Havent used them over the winter but looking forard not having to shampoo the carpets this coming spring in order to remove salt stains.
I got those slush mats as well...what a piece of garbage...

I was looking at the weathertech liners on their website. It's hard to tell for sure, but it looks like that once the snow melts, the remaining water/salt mixture would simply be funnelled towards the sill plate and eventually leak over the floor liners and into the carpet anyhow.
I must be missing something??

I have husky liners, but the same concept (both are digitally scanned to fit like a glove), They hold the melt water very well, I am sure the weathertech do too. It would take quite a lot of water before they start to spill over.

Many of us do one of 2 things, either we keep a sponge in the vehicle and sponge it out everyonce in a while (saves removing the liner), or wait until it freezes and just pop the ice chunck out.

Both Weathertech and Husky Liners are expensive, but worth it in my opinion. If you have the extra money for them, then I give them 2 thumbs up as an investment, especially if you live in a severe weather area. Quite a few threads on these liners on the site as well which will give you lots of info and opinions.

Both product are industrial buckets moreso then mats or liners. They do keep the slop contained. I have the front and back seat ones. The huskies stay flexible even in double digit subzero temps so they won't crack either.

I have nothing negative to say about the husky liners. I actually think the weathertech look better astetically. I went with the huskys after a fellow forum member who had both shared that the husky covers the entire left foot rest on the floor of the driver's side while the weather tech doesn't. Since I have tons of winter and salt to deal with, I opted for that little extra protection as I put my salty foot on that left foot rest habitually.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one, so maybe look at the price difference.
