Ouch! At least she was honest. We saw the same thing in our supermarket lot. In that thase the driver drove off, but we got the license number and left it on the owner's wiper. Bummer. I once had a 61 Corvette, a Caddy pulled up to it and punched two holes in the rear trunk area with those big bullets. Cheeeez!

 

Still better than Global Thermonuclear War. Tho not by much.

If you're gonna paint the whole thing... go for something completely different than what is offered.
Some might say.. "Aww c'mon Its a JEEP! That's just a beauty mark!"

Yes, I did... cheep aftermarket... I think I paid $5 for it... its one of those gel ones... that bend back in the wind... I am looking to get another one, but can't find one I really like... I want it to be under the roof line, and black, so it doesn't stick out.

Friday I should be taking it in for quotes... we'll see...

 

$1700 nothin's cheap these days.

 

If the quarter panel is creased much at all (hard to tell from the photo), I'd expect that will need to be replaced. The door skin can probably be salvaged.

I'd guess $1500 at the low end, maybe as high as $3000 depending on how the body shop goes about it.

 

I'm going closer to $2650...

The fender will needto be replaced for sure and the door dings are in a difficult location to repair.

also on a side note... remember my thread about the 24 hour review... where my back bumper was struck - hit and run... well, I got a quote for that, get ready.... 742.19.... needless to say that will be staying dented until something else happens to it.. you can hardly see it, so it isn't really needed.

not enough has to be painted to change the color of the car... next year though I think I will be taking it to one of those discount paint shops that have 10 year warranties... and get it changed out... I really like the idea of the sage green, my favorite color is green, and the whole jeep green is just to plain, which is why I got the steel blue...

Now we need to do the whole insurance thing, fun...

why don't you keep the insurance money and fix it yourself by buying touch up paint and Bushwacker fenders flares (except Bushwacker doesn't make fender flares for the Patriot)?
