I have these already, but a few of them are beginning to peel and I'd like to replace them all.
I have tried looking on eBay, but I figure one of you older members of this site remember who sells them!
Thank you in advance!!!!!

Make sure to clean the area with alcahol real well and try to keep fingers for touching sticky side, (I used a toothpick) and heat them with a blowdryer when done. My chrome vinyl is 2 yrs old now and still good. Good luck!

I have reflective black on the back bumper, at night when light hits it it turns silver like my paint. They are a pain to put on, i'd suggest having a blow dryer handy to warm them up if they need a stretching, some of the letters fit perfectly, others didn't...

Well, I tried last night, guess my dexterity is going as well as other stuff as I age. I screwed up the second to last letter going on bad enough I ruined it. So then took the other letters back off. Not sure if I'll order more and try again or not. The damn O has some very thin strips at the top and bottom, and one of those stuck to itself, and ruined the letter. And then I didn;t want it to look half assed, so removed them all.

They didn't fit very well either. Not the exact size for sure, seemed sort of a bit smaller than the imprint on the bumper.

Now I'm thinking of making my own template and cutting my own letters.

I was very frustrated at my failure on this.

Has anyone been able to determine the type font for the Patriot name on the bumper? I'm not happy with the letters I bought, they just didn't fit right for me, too small or something. So I want to make my own, if I only knew the type face or font used I could do it easily.

Anyone know??

It might be cutsom for the Jeeps. Can you trace it somehow to make a template? Or use the vinly lettering as a guide/reference?

My letters were tricky to work with too, sort of ripped a 'P' but a little extra effort and it's not noticeable except when my nose is too it. :p

Anyone spot the $40 and up letters on eBay/Amazon? Think they are scammers selling the same vehicle license tag vinly material way overpriced, or maybe actual hard chrome letter cutouts?

I looked again and now can only find the different color vinyl letters.

What would you guys think of painting in the letters instead of just getting the vinyl lettering? My patriot is silver and i think it would look great with the patriot letters black but i dont know if painting them would be better or just getting the vinyl lettering... any feedback would be great. thanks!

painting would be better if done right and the surface prepped right. But it will also cost a ton more to have someone do it for you to make sure it is done right and lasts the life of the veh. Were the letters cost me $13 shipped. I would have rather done the paint but i would not trust myself to do it and do it right and if i took it to a body shop i would bet it would be $150 plus to do it and clear coat it

Those black letters look real nice on your electric green Patriot!

I am debating between black or silver/chrome for my blue (surf blue) Patriot (now owned for 3 days). Except I have a problem.... I cannot find the letters anymore on eBay. I am presuming I am not using the right terms. I saw them there a few months ago when I was still looking for my Patriot.

So, can you (or anyone else) post either a link to one of the batches sold on eBay or post the key words to use (I used "Jeep" "Patriot" and either "vinyl" or "letters" or "bumper" or "decal" and came up empty every time.

from what it sounds like is everyone that was selling them has either stopped or is out of them. Someone that has ordered them off e-bay needs to look up the seller and post who it is out here. Maybe a link to there sellers page. If enough people on here e-mail them maybe they will start being sold again.

Answering a couple posts here.

Painting in is an option, I considered it too, but the black letters were also reflective.

I'm going to figure a way to do it myself. I wish I could find out what type font the lettering is, if anyone can find out please let me know.

If I can't get the type font, I'm going to use playdoh or something to push into the letters, then I can make a stencil from that, and then I'll get the 3M material to make my own.

Someone else made their own once, I saw here before, now if only they would have used the letters they made to make a stencil that would have been great.

The other way to do it would take some of the BLUE painters tape and push into the letters then you can take something and push it hard in there and taht would crease the tape. pull it back off and cut it and then test fit it a few times making adjustments until it fits right them you would have your own templates.
