Welcome... nice wheels!

As for the wife thingy... well... When Uncle Kah here get's home tonight from work, he will sit down and write up his special 3 rules regarding wives. Then you will fully understand!

EDIT: (couldn't wait...)

Rule 1) Never argue with the wife! She holds all the marbles in the house you like it or not and/or you know it or not!

Rule 2) Never, ever offer her anything of yours! Once you do, it instantly becomes her possession until such time as she deems said possession as value-less! In this case, as long as it is being paid for... trust me... it's valuable.

Rule 3) When ya mess up royally on rule #2 above, revert to rule #1.

OOOppppsssss....

Rule 4) Thou shall not hideth anything from the wifey! Sooner or later, she findeth out! - Trust me, I learned the hard way! ;)

Got the Jeep with the cash for clunkers. $4500 for an old Jimmy, $4500 rebate, $1300 friends and family discount, so $13,600 out the door. Nice deal for a 4x4. I am going to put a lift kit on it in another week. I'll post more pics than.

Nice, I like the color, lol

I do like the 09 dash better than my 08 too

Post some picks after you lift it.

Some folks got great deals in that cash for clunkers program. Congrats!

I couldn't get my wife to give up her Ram though. 12MPG is tough with these prices

Rubicon

Is there any way for you to keep us up to date on what is happening at the Belvidere Plant. You don't need to spy, just if the employee parking lot is full (one shift or two) what is coming out the backdoor, maybe some pictures if at all possible?
Inquiring minds want to know:)

I had to buy my wife a Compass so she would leave my Patriot alone. I also bought the Patriot with few features which she hates.

Welcome aboard! Enjoy the ride.

Crap. I really have to do that. It is absolutely amazing how much better that looks with the rocker up closer to the center of the wheel hub. They really should come that way from the factory. Say, speaking of which, did you go over the the factory and watch for you car to come out of the door and get loaded on a truck? Or do they just drive them over to the dealer? ;)

Lookin' good! Get those front windows tinted if you can.

Are you actually going to take it off road, or is this for looks?

Aww yes I remember this thread now, the lifted garage door light...just messing with ya. Nice lift my friend, there is just something amazing about how red looks. I have a suggestion to get your wife away from the Jeep. Jack the seat up very high and put on some 235/75/18s and park in puddles right next to where the sprinklers shoot. Two for one, park here also after mudding, then turn 180degrees after two hours.

Window tints in Illinois....Unfortunately in the state of Illinois having your front passenger and driver side windows is illegal. According to the law, it "obstructs driver view." Ny theory is that it makes police nervous when they walk up to a vehicle which they cannot see into. This is why, tints or no tints, I have my window rolled down, engine off and license and insurance ready by the time they get up to the car.

Edit: First tinted window offense $50, 2nd- $250.

On my last car I was able to beat the second offense because I removed the tints and took pictures with me to court.

As a cop nothing makes me more nervous then when I get out of the car to approach the stopped vehicle and the driver leans across to the glove box. Please wait until the Officer asks you for your documentation. Having the window down is a good Idea to ease the officers nerves though. And If your window is down, I can't site you for it being tinted. Just remember to have the passenger widow down too.

And remember Police Officers don’t have quota’s on tickets per night. They only have recommendations from Command.

You could have the whole wheel done in black. I think flat black would look nice, or if you want gloss, a real high gloss black would also look nice. You could also do the star black and the inner parts silver or some other color, but would also cost you more to do that way. Either way the black would look nice, I would go for it.

The whole reason I would get the rubi wheels is because they're silver. I personally don't think they'd look good black on your Pat, just my 2 cents.
