We've had similar discussion some time ago as I was interested as well. We couldn't find any guards available. I even asked one of the manufacturers and got rejected. We've looked at Cherokee, GC and Commander. Somebody even took some measurements. But for the life of me I can't find that thread. If I remember correctly, XJ and ZJ tail lights were the closest in size to the Patriot's.

I wish somebody who has XJ or ZJ and Patriot could measure tail lights of both to confirm.

 

I remember that also....it was the commander's that was the closest but if I recall it required some cutting....cant find it either.

I originally wanted to do mine with black 3M trimmings but couldnt find black anywhere.

That's just a stick-on for aesthetics. Not an actual guard.

Compared them and they're not even close, didn't even bother measuring.

 

man i was gone a couple days and this thread took off. Yeah I work in construction so i need guards everywhere if possible.

 

C'mon guys. I know there are several members who have XJ or ZJ. Can we please get some measurements of tail lights so we can compare them to Patriot's?

I got some measurements from a guy I met that works at an online parts warehouse.

 

I can't find XJ guards anywhere but Liberty and Commander ones are available.

 

Probably would be easier to make than find at this point

by the looks,the commander one seems closer to the pats rear lamp design

 

I decided to contact RRO about the tail light guards since they created the lift because of our requests. They said they will send the request to their engineers and see about getting it made.

If you guys get a chance go to Rocky Road Outffiter's website and email them. Ask them to make the tail light guards. We might have a chance to get this!
