Looks good...can't wait to see it on the Pat. Where did you order it from?

I (like most) will be interested in how it looks on the Patriot. Also, when you have it installed I'm curious on how strong you think it is (not for a car accident, but do you think it's strong enough to hold lights??)

I think it would be strong enough for lights. As for impacting on another surface, it would not hold up to well. the top has a bracket that screws in where the license plate screws on so it hopefully wont move forward and back with lights on it. they also sell a clamp to wrap around the bar to attach lights but they were really expensive for what you got.

for install
i have the plastic sheet under the engine so i removed three 10mm bolts which allowed the plastic to be pulled down a ways. i cut three slots to make access for the spacer tubes and bracket (i was lazy and it seemed to work fine). I pulled the plastic down to get my hand behind and inserted the nut plates. lined up the main bracket with spacer tube over a bolt and screwed it in a few threads . i repeated this with the last two and they went in smoothly. I tightened them to where i could move them with a little force if needed as per instructions.
In the instruction it says you will only use the middle bolt on the plastic skid when reinstalling, however with snow and icy roads i reinstalled all three with no problem but i had to screw them in without the main bar bracket on.
I lined up bolts carefully with nut plates and had no issues but if you knocked out the nut plate thing you would have to retrieve it and slide it back into slot which could be difficult with plastic skid on.(hope that made sense).

There are a few patriots used for photo radar here and i have had alot of people lock the breaks passing my parked pat thinking it was radar .Now with this bar they will be even worse since its a similar look sort of to the photo radar bar . maybe ill pop one square fog on there. actually no , i dont need anyone smashing out windows or what not.

I had no problems driving through two feet of fresh snow. It was a test in an empty parking lot. Also superb in the slush and stuff. I'm running the dealer tires.

Oktazcat ...it was purely a " have not seen anybody with one yet around here".I like to make my cars a little different from others. while it would hold some lights no problem it really is only for looks and keeping people and shopping carts a little bit further from the plastic bumper (already scratched from someone). Probably would look good on a black pat but I dont mind it on the beige. It does not really hinder approach etc much either, it sits slightly above the low areas of the underside and while it would rub sooner than not having it Im not really worried.
Tskm2 , they shipped to canada. At the time it was $320 canadian shipped. still waiting for the duty and taxes bill from ups in the mail.

myself....yup factory tires. has not snowed much yet but seems ok in the slushy icy stuff. First winter with this one so I am still figuring out its characteristics. feels a little loose in the back but not as bad as my cherokee.

Some one backed up into the front bumper of my 6 months old Patroit and cracked the arms right off the underside that was holding it together. Got estimate for damage $1029. Have to have bumper replaced. I wonder if that nudge would have helped. Is this a racket or what with the crappy bumpers they put on cars today.

That looks roughly the same as the Westin Bull bars and while good for light mounting will do nothing except for deflecting a few shopping carts.

For reference here's a pic of the one on my brothers YJ after he got hit and the bar was smashed into a hill, basically it was as strong as a wet noodle in a collision.

I wonder what other bull bars you could mount on the Pat's.
I'm going to do a little checking into that.
I'd prefer Flat Black on my 07 Khaki Pat but chrome doesn't look half bad either.

stockblackxj and VicBitter, how much did the "sports bar" weigh? What is it made of? Where did you get it from? Thanks.
