Smoke or steam? Smoke would be a much greater problem, and likely wouldn't subside without some other issues coming up...

 

I guess it is steam.. didn't smell anything.. also it went away fast.

 

Hope so. It's more likely, though I certainly couldn't rule out smoke from here... If you're actually concerned, it's worth it to have it checked out - even just a maintenance check would probably reveal anything sinister. And you'd feel better afterward, if a little poorer.

My pat does the same thing, carwash, rain pretty much and water that hits it it.

 

This is simply water hitting the hot radiator or engine block and evaporating. No need to worry IMO. It's happened to me when I have taken large puddles for fun in rainy FLA.

 

I would say the same thing as some of the others just steam from the carwash on the hot motor and radiator. I wouldn't worry.

 

Yeah it is definitely just steam from the radiator. My Patriot does this every time I exit carwash and so did our Wrangler Unlimited.

 

Varmaji, that is defanately steam. It happens to me all the time when I wash mine. Not sure where you live, however I live in a colder area so I see it a lot.

 

This is just streams and not a serious problem...
It normally happens when radiator heats up...
