Some of you may know that i purchased the RRO front bumper kit with smittybilt winch. I thought I'd do a quick write up of my experience with the install. I'm only working this one picture because i got a new phone about a month ago and my other one was fried and it had about 10-15 pictures through the install but i couldn't get them over or anything.. sad day.. Anyway RRO sends you paperwork on how the install should go. It is pretty straight forward. A little confusing at time because it doesn't show where to make your cuts on the front fascia of the bumper to where your winch goes and whatnot so you kinda have to just wing it until you get it to match up correctly. It could be done by yourself but it would be a heck of a lot easier with another helper. My dad was ever so kind and helped me throughout the process. You have to take off the whole front bumper which includes disconnecting the lights which can be a PITA. Probably the hardest thing we had to do was line up the 4 spacer bolts that we got that have to used in between the winch mount and the front bumper fascia. You have to then put on the front bumper through RRO and bolt everything on. That was a little challenging but what stunk the most was the those spacers were powder coated black for some dumb reason and the insides had to be drilled out just a little because the bolts wouldn't fit inside all the way. After all of that. We ran into another problem by forgetting to connect one of the wires from the winch to the battery. ha. So we had to take everything off again and connect that lonely wire to function properly. We bought some black wire covers to cover up the red wire from the winch to make it blend in behind the front grill. Other than that it was pretty straight forward. I wish I had all of the pictures from my old phone. I'm going off of memory here. Just thought I would do a tiny write up and if anyone needs any questions answered about the process I will be happy to help answer them for you. All in all it took me and my dad a course of 2 days only because we took breaks in between but i would say around 12-14 hours. Just as an estimate.
