Anyone know if there is a replacement antenna available for the Pat that is black and shorter like the 08 Liberties or Dodge Nitros have?

Weaker reception is noticeable in remote areas and mountains. Took off mine and put original one back. Better reception and far better reception than my previous Hyundai Santa Fe with its stock antenna

Yes Nerrad I'm pretty sure it is this one.

Take care when installing it don't use the chrysler adaptor because it doesn't fit.. I used the ford one I think... it should be easy to screw on so if it fells hard stop immediately because those adaptor are kind of cheap they break if you thight them to much...

so good luck ;) the reception is as the original one for me...

You may want to use some locktite or similar on it though. I'm on my second one now as the antenna came loose from the base at some point while driving and I lost it.

I get reception for sh!t as it is with the monster ant, so there's no way I'm going with a rubber duckie antenna. They do look good though.

I am thinking it doesn't matter what antenna you have on there will be interference no matter what. I still have the 32" stock on and depending on where I am driving I lose the signal from time to time.

Well it been 16 days since my antenna was shipped out and I still haven't received it. I ordered it from Ebay as well the seller keeps blaming Canadian Customs for the delay, but I also ordered my Jeep Seat Covers from the US and that was about a week later, I received that early last week. Some how the Customs excuse just doesn't work for me.

Sounds like we ordered from the same person. I got the 13" black stubby antenna and it took 12 days to ship USPS first class from California to Oklahoma. It looked to me like the shipper was printing their own shipping lables and I can't find anything to show that the USPS actually received the item from the shipper on the label date. I went to USPS and plugged in the shipping info from the shippers zip to my zip and first class was shown to take only 3 days. I think they are printing the lables and then holding off on mailing until they have whatever they consider enough units to make a trip to the post office worhtwhile. I did make note that the shipper had an excellent feedback rating but numerous comments about slow shipping.

After about 3 weeks of waiting for my antenna it showed up on Friday delivered by USPS. Installed using some locktite since there was really no way to tighten it other then by hand. Haven't noticed any reception difficulties and looks a hell of alot better then the stock antenna.

Make sure you save your 30 foot stock whip antenna just in case you install a rack mounted HF unit from a hmmwv some day:)
