Ive been looking at roof cross rails and I have a question about the application. First, how wide are our roof racks apart? There are 2 rails that I am looking at and one says adjustable up to 41" and the other 43". I did a rough measurement today on the way to work and I got about 42". Anyone have any idea what the smallest width I can use? I dont like the look of having the rails hang over the side of the car. I would like to find the rails with the shortest width.
