Is $1200 reasonable for a new clutch?

I've done a couple clutches and this is one job I'd rather sub out. First time I paid to have one done on an Accord 15 years ago it was $300-350. Couple years ago it was $700 for wife's 08 Elantra. This 08 Patriot is my son's and in talking to my mechanic (who's a good one) he says the job is harder and costs more due to the fact that it's a 4WD. Just wondering what y'all think or have experienced in your own rigs.

Clutch kits are usually in the $100-150 range and I noticed that kit for this Patriot is $250-300 on rockauto which seems high. Not complaining though. Just soliciting opinions.

BTW it's a 2008 Jeep Patriot 4wd 5-speed MT.

I ain't doing it myself. I'm a DIYer 99.9% of the time. This is that .1%. I pulled and sealed the leaks in the C6 trans in my 1972 F100 last summer cuz I didn't want to shell out $1200 for a rebuild. Took about 20 hours to replace one seal, one o-ring, and one gasket. About $10 worth of parts. I'll never do that again. I've done a couple clutches in my day and I ain't doing them ever again (famous last words). I guess I could make my kid do all the work while I drink beer and stupervise.

Mechanic said his clutch kit is $500+ which means labor is roughly $700 and he can only guarantee the work if I use his clutch which I can understand.

OK so the more I think about it the more I might take on the job. But have my kid do all the tough stuff.

I typically buy my stuff from rockauto. Right now they list the following:

LUK 05173 LuK RepSet®; Includes Concentric Slave Cylinder and Flywheel for $139. This is the same one croat listed above and a lot cheaper.

SACHS K7081301; Standard; Kit includes Concentric Slave Cylinder.; Outer Diameter: 9; Inner Diameter: 7/8; Teeth:17T for $254

That's a big difference in price. Anybody have any info on whether the quality of one over the other is better?
