For those who have wheel spacers/adapters...

1) where did you buy yours? I saw some on eBay but wasn't quite sure about them.

2) some that I found online say that the stock wheel studs might need to be ground down, was this the case with yours?

Thanks

Yes, eBay. I was concerned about quality but they seem to be made by the same people anyway. I found the best prices and service to be here: http://stores.ebay.ca/Precision-Eur...l?_nkw=santa&submit=Search&LH_TitleDesc=1&_sid=70813196&clk_rvr_id=316774791987 and he now carries up to 38mm spacers.

IIRC, the wheel studs are 28mm long (front) and 33mm long (rear). For the spacers that have their own studs: if the thickness of your spacer plus the depth of recess in the back of your wheels is less than those numbers, then yes you will have to modify your studs. The other style of spacer (without its own studs) will only fit up to about 5mm before you would have to replace your studs for longer ones.

I bought 1" spacers on E-Bay and they have been great. I did have to grind down the stock studs to make a proper fit but it wasn't bad. The onlt thing you may need to do is get wheel nuts for the spacers because some of them are a different thread pattern.

I was going to get the 1.25" wide adapter/spacers. How did you grind down the studs? I'd prefer to not to have to do that. How much did you grind them down? I'm asking because maybe the 1.25" spacers will not require that.
