I know there's been alot of threads about the TPMS on our cars, so decided to start this thread addressing one question frequently asked. "Do I need to program new or replaced sensors"? My anwser would be no, atleast from my experience. I bought the same sensors a previous member(Gaspareau) here mentioned off ebay. Then went to the tire shop purchased 4 new steel wheels along with new tires. I asked them if they could install the sensors I bought and they had no problems installing them. After I dropped off my original tires and rims at home then went for a quick drive to see if it would pick up the new sensors. After about ten minutes of driving I got the warning light and beeping, "@#$% they need programing" I said. I decided to turn around head back home and after five minutes the warning light goes out and one by one the TPMS picked up each wheel!!!!
These are the sensors I bought
Side note: The Hankook 409 i-Pike winter tire is unbelievable. Had a big snowfall yesterday and got around with no problems. I was able to drive like it was dry outside!!:smiley_thumbs_up:
