suzq044 & jeepmuck, very good eyes! Caught my other 2 babies. Now with the newborn, been busy dressing it up; not much time for the other two; did take the SL out with top down today to look for more stuff for the Pat. They all have their own distinct characteristics, & I love them all very much. There is still one baby hiding, a Silver Saab 9-3 Convertible with Nordic Stage 2 mods. Here's a pic

Wish i was raking in the cash, but am not. I told you i m crazy, with the current world economy, i might have to put one or two babies in storage for a while. :( As with you, you are just waiting till your promo, then you will dive in both feet. :smiley_thumbs_up:

Is that a power antenna?

Adjust your side mirrors out more (no point it seeing behind your car with all three mirrors) and you can get rid of the bubble mirrors. The light bulbs are not on my recommended list either.

Otherwise, it is very nice! I love that color.

1. It's not a power antenna, just a cheapo black rubber outside, back metal extension inside antenna from Walmart.

2. Side mirrors adjusted,

3. The bubble mirrors for the right side blind spot, could drop the left side, as i agree it's too many mirror.

4. Any reason not liking the bulbs, as they are 8500k compare to the stock.
Since Xenon is not an option, & i like the "white/blue" light that Xenon produce, these after market ones are pretty close.

Nice collection there.

Like what you have done so far to the Riot... Really nice.

Question: The headlight package says "H 10". I thought the Riot used H 13's. Am I missing something here?

Thanks for your kind words. As for lights, the open box is H13s for the head lights, the unopen H10s are for the fog lights. Haven't been able to install those yet, seems the wiring plug to the fog is a bitch to pull out, tried several times with no success? The H13s were relatively easy, just have to unlock the red tap on the plug & pull, installed in 15 minutes.

How is the AM/FM reception with that new antenna?

OEM HIDs are largely in the 4500k temperature range. Higher temp scale does not mean more light output. What matters is how many lumens and how long the bulb will last. Many people value how lights look vs. how well they let the driver see.

The reception, so far is same as OEM, but i listen to SAT radio with the freeby. I will monitor & report back.

As with the bulbs, my Cayman S Xenon color (likely at what you quoted 4500K or around there is still not white/blue enough for me.) I have seen some Infinite's Xenon whiter than my Cayman S. I have had PIAAs Plasma Xenon matched bulbs b/f in my Saab, think they are 6500Ks? But you can count on a burnt out after maybe 12 months, & it's over $100 a pop. Now, i have changed to Korea made bulbs, as they give you relatively close match to PIAAs & its around $20 a set. This time around, i figure to try the 8500K & see what the color spectrum is like. So far, have driven only in daylight, haven't seen them in action at night, maybe, this evening, i will take some pics of the 8500K & post for discussion.

you WANT yellowish tint, not blue. You can see better with the yellow. With HID's in the current housing, you're blinding everybody you drive by; those housings aren't built for HIDs, if they were, they'd probably COME with them.

Driving back home to Vancouver from Birch Bay,WA, mostly highway, the AM/FM receptions are as good as OEM. We will see tomorrow, as i head into town for work, within the city AM reception might suffer, but will see.

Here's the claimed 8500K bulbs:
Too bad it was rainning tonight, the light might not be as clear.

The lighting is a lot clearer/& see better than the stock bulbs. I still have to test it a bit more.

The new antenna is holding up well. Drove into downtown today with all the tall buildings, the FM reception is the same, no issues there. The AM reception got a bit more static, but that is expected. Overall, i would give it excellent rating compare to the stock ugly unit.

I recently replaced the OEM antenna with a similar short antenna that is kind of rubbery I guess as it flops around in the wind like it has ED. Basically put the bolt in by hand as far as it would go leaving about 1/2" and screwed it on. The reception on FM is very good. I get a little more static on AM than I did with OEM, however OEM was horrible in the drive thru wash because it rubbed on the hood. Plus the short antenna looks better :D

You are so right in regards to the short antenna. Chrysler/Jeep are too cheap to give us a decent one, & the one i bought cost $6.99. Looks tons better.

Finally today i was able to change the Stock tires & rims to the other set of SILVER Compass with Firestone Affinity 215-60-17s. Here are the pics.

Thanks for your kind words. Compare to the stock 17" Grey/Black spokes, is the Silver rims better? After the install, haven't got used to the plain look?
The rides seems a bit better with these Firestone All Seasons? Figure the ride would be harsher with lower profile tires, but worked out to be better than the SRAs

As of now, i still have the exhaust/muffler to paint, the 8500K fog light bulbs & the bug shield to install. The bug shield likely will take a bit of time with drilling & all. The fog lights seems to be a pain too. Still deciding on the Mopar Cold Air Intake / Exhaust.

Still trying to get use to it. I will post some more pictures later today, as the other ones doesn't show off the wheels too well.
