ok so, my rear right blinker and break light is not working on my 2008 jeep patriot and i really need it to pass an inspection. i suspected it was a grounding issue so i stripped and replaced the ground near the alternator behind the right side headlight.. no dice upon further inspection i found a aftermarket trailer harness that was installed and suspect it could have shorted something on the TIPM. if i remove the trailer harness and find a TIPM from a pick and pull and replace it dose anyone think it could resolve this issue ?? PLEASE HELPPPP

Step 1 is to replace the bulb, even if it looks good. Step 2 should be to replace the bulb socket, even if it looks good. You can get replacement sockets at most auto part stores or online. In my '14, I've had to replace both of them. They looked good, but didn't work.

ok thanks ill try that today on both the front and rear right side today. yeah i tried to re ground it and nothing worked so this is my last hope before moving on to TIPM issues
