Finaly my Pat arrived. Its a black 07 with everything you can get over here:
- diesel
- 4X4, Freedom drive I.
- all equipment such as Boston, tinted windows, leather, CC, AC, sat. nav. roof rack, splash guards, etc.
- 18" wheels from Compass

Different from the US, it has small centered roof antenna, black muffler with straight tip and bumper.

Here are some pictures: :pepper:

And it costs 70.000,- usd...

Thanks for sharing man! Love it! Looks great. The roof basket is extremely awesome! Might have to add it as well once mine comes in!

Also, great how we here in the US even get the shaft on the Antenna...meanwhile we have to put up with the 'RC Car' antenna rather then the roof mount...I.m already planning on buying a stubby antenna for it...

Looks great. Drive it safe.

One question for you Thomas. What were the car import duties if you had bought the car from Germany for example for half of that price ?

wehey...just like mine. black muffler and stubby roof mount antenna from the factory....but different alloys????

how come...were they special order or for scandanavian countries......

good luck with the new car.

mark.

Hi again. Thanks for the feedback.

I had a laugh when I realized that the muffler came black. You know youre a car-nerd when you actually care about the colour of the muffler you hardly see ;)

The Compass wheels are not an option. I had to fight for them (and pay!) It comes with the partially black painted 17" rims. Ill maybe use these rims for my winter tires. Though I really should have 16"s instead...

Nebcarson: I live just south of Lillehammer.

Next step is to tint the front windows and install an engine block heater with timer. The winter is just around the corner.

@Dan:
Hehe, north Germany suffers from our import of cars. But when they are new, its nothing to get for free. Maybe when they get older.

Ex; your beamer could be a couple thousand euros cheaper to import than buy used in Norway - due to your extremely stupid tax-system. (well, its actually better now than previous. It takes Co-emissions in the calculation. So big heavy V8 cars costs the same as a small country)

One year report

One year has gone with the Pat in my ownership. I cant say anything else than Im very pleased with it. It has been only one hickup, the backseat got stuck. And almost just one annoying thing - the first service did cost 900 usd!! Ive now driven 26000 km.

Without the fact that it has limited space for a family of four, it has been just perfect for my needs. Of course, the Commander would have been even better, but it is twice the price...

The snow is back, and it will be here for the next four or five months. With block heater and four wheel drive the winter becomes less winter - and some fun with the ESP off, hehe.

The fuel consumption is steady between 0,55 and 0,7 litres pr 10 km.

Looking forward to another winter in the Pat. :smiley_thumbs_up:

My math might be bad but it sounds like your getting 33 to 42 miles to the gallon? :smiley_thumbs_up:

I looked up the engine spec 140 HP and 229 lb ft of torque. Why isn't this in the US?

Diesel does cost more here then regular gas. Diesel $2.49 a gallon and regular gas sits at $1.70 in Idaho.

Could they make a diesel electric? I do like where they are currently going with the ENVI development at chrysler.

I haven't had a chance to drive the Patriot in slippery road conditions. My other car is a Mitsubishi Evo. It takes a bit to get the rear out. A lot of understeer with throttle. Throw the Caliber RT engine in the Pat and enjoy some WRC driving. (would be expensive replacing the powertrain to handline the abuse of increased power):icon_rolleyes:
