pass seat belt warning turn off?

So about most of the time I'm the only one in the Jeep, but sometimes my wife rides with me, and she cannot wear a shoulder harness seat belt due to surgery, etc. In my 08, the only time I got a seat belt warning is when mine was not on, but in the 14 I get a warning when she's in the pass. seat.

So wondering if I can turn off the seat belt warning for the passenger seat?

The sensor is in the outboard retract-er, not in the latch so just pull the seat belt out until the warning goes out and use a bull dog clip to hold it fast.

I'd put that up, over the passenger shoulder, just after the moveable guide thing.

A bit more permanent are seat belt buttons.

Just extend the belt until the warning goes away, inseret button to prevent further retraction and you are done...with some slack left in the belt but it hangs between the seat and door frame out of the way.

The "procedure" just gets rid of the chime as you drive along with seat belt undone.

If you pin it or otherwise clip it out a bit you also miss the whole gong show that goes on at start up.

I enter/leave my Patriot in and around 30 times a day...not hearing that gong show any longer is a joy. I do wear my belt, just not immediately after I enter and key my vehicle...it literally took me weeks to get over the joy of finally shutting that noise off.
