Well folks, I merely need to bring in the $300 deposit and they will put in the order for our new 2008...

Go ahead...let me hear it!!! Hey, it will be her vehicle to tow the little on around in and make runs to the supermarket. Hell, I didn't even get her 4WD. I have decided that when I pay off my current car loan, I will get the Pat that I want. Then we will be a Jeep family. :smiley_thumbs_up:

No really, there is nothing wrong with the Compass, imo. The black looks sharp and I will not be embarrased to drive it, unlike I would a mini-van. They are telling me 6-8 weeks to get it built and delivered. Here is what we are going to order:

MKTP49- Jeep Compass Limited 4X2
26F- Customer Preferred Package
ED3- 2.4L 4-cyl
DAV- CVT II
PXR- Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl
APA- Montone Paint
*AL- Leather Trimmed Buckets
-DV- Dark Slate Gray
ATJ- 9-Speaker Boston Acoustics Sound Group
AJB- Security and Cargo Convenience Group
YG6- 6.2 Additional Gallons of Fuel
39L- Full Tank of Fuel

Not sure how the 6.2 Additional Gallons of Fuel will work, but anywho. I am excited and I think it will be a perfect vehicle for her and our son.

I guess this means I have to vacate the Jeep Patriot message board. :(

I just became a site supporter for crying out loud!!!

Oh, by the way. I went to yet ANOTHER dealer in the town where I work and sat down with the fat weeble-wobble salesman (aren't they all?) and told him to the letter what I was looking for. So we got to the rebates and he said all they have is the $500 rebate and I told him BS!!! He said the extra $2,000 rebate is for cars that are on the lot only. I told him to go teabag himself and I left.

Congrats GenXer... Its a Jeep and its a very good ride.... She and the baby will be very safe in it...

Congrats! So you bought our cousin, we wish you the best with it!

Congratulations for your wife! I joined here because it still provides the most information for the Compass since they share so many parts and attributes.

Child Seats fit pretty well. I've already got different ones in there. The infant carrier that was i nthe middle is gone now. My younger moved up to the other seat in the pic, but reverse facing in the same position and my odler got a bigger seat behind the passenger seat. Infant carrier was a bit of a PITA in the middle posiiton. Glad it's gone.

Stroller fits perfectly in the back. Our new double stroller also fits too, but no pic yet.

Hey GenXer,
The $2000 is not for cars on the lot. I just got mine and the got it from another dealership. I got $3000 in rebates ($500 bonus cash + $2000 + $500 lease loyalty, but the lease loyalty does apply to financing as well) That dealership is full of it. Also, the 6.2 additional gallons of gas, (from what I was told) is the gas the dealership puts in the vehicle. They are not full of gass when they arrive from the factory.

Put the deposit down today and the build order is in!!! They told me 5-7 weeks for it to be here. It's just as well we went the route of building one custom to what we wanted. It is nearly impossible to find one on a lot (within our driving distance) the exact way we wanted.

Oh yeah...about the rebates. I told the guy where we are purchasing our vehicle that there was no need for the sales clown at the other dealer to lie to me about ANYTHING, including rebates. When you have the internet, you can find info on anything when it comes to cars. People are well informed nowadays, but I must have had "dumbass" scrolled on my forehead when I walked in.

Congrat Genxer,
and hey their is still the "other Jeeps" Compass forum open for you ;)
