1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position.
Do not start the engine.
2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three
times within 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF/LOCK position.
NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you
start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not
reset. If necessary, repeat this procedure.

That is a C&P from the manual.
You probably aren't holding your mouth properly, you have to sort of scrunch up your lips, between a "getting ready to whistle" and a "I smelled a fart" kind of thing.
Then it works for sure.

Unless your Patriot is white.
Then I don't know what to do.

Only on a Stone White Patriot. All others require the window to be down too.

 

When all else fails, read your owner's manual. It might change from one year to another.

 

I've had repeat the process 3-4 a few times for it to work.
