Yesterday, I shouted and whipped into a Baskin-Robbins when I thought I saw a Pat. Poop! It was just a Commander! Those two REALLY look alike - it's amazing they're so different in size.

How dare that dumb ol Commander try to pretend it's a Patriot!

Has ANYONE in San Diego seen a Patriot on the streets? I haven't seen a single one. I guess I don't have to worry about everyone having a Patriot before mine is delivered (scheduled for the middle of May)

I've seen a couple of people in other Jeeps doing double takes when mine drives by. There are so few out right now. That is especially true in the warmer areas of the country that received their allotments later.

Well figure there are only about 4000 Pats sold so far. Subtract about 1000 in Canada. That leaves only about 60 per state. With uneven distribution you will have a higher number in the Northern states and a lower number in the warmer areas. Going to have to try real hard to see one.

Hey look at it this way. For my ragtop Ford only made 4200 35 years ago. While I know several people who own them through the web I have yet to see one drive by or at a show.

I know! Last week I went to the dealer where I had ordered mine to sit in one for a few minutes and all traces of the Patriot had been erased - even the brochures were gone! I started thinking "Twilight Zone!"

Just to prove I wasn't cracking up, I went back to the dealer yesterday and they had 2 Patriots on the lot. Whew! I'm not losing my mind (yet!)

Interesting, both of the Pats on the lot were totally basic Sport models, 2.0 liter with no factory options except automatic, but they both had $2500 dollars worth of dealer-installed "gangsta" wheels. I live in a big city - I sure hope the Patriot doesn't get the reputation and image as a kind of midget ghetto-cruising Escalade wanna-be..... :puke:

No Patriots on the road!

I live in Burbank. I still have not seen another Patriot on the road yet, although I did have a woman in a Liberty roll down her window and ask how I liked it!

I have a little over 600 miles on it. I'm taking my first road trip this weekend.

Patriot as an ice-breaker for meeting women. This really is a versatile car ;)

I have yet to see another on the road either (west Michigan). I road tripped it last week down to Tennessee and didn't see one in OH, KY, or IN either.

I'll agree they do look like Commander---ONLY BETTER!

And please, oh, please tell the dealers to stop with the lame rims---ITS A FREAK"IN JEEP for Pete's sake!! Figures, those knuckle heads don't know anything about patriot when they are on lot--now they wanna mess 'em up with ugly rims...sorry had to get that out---all better now.

http://www.autonews.com/assets/PDF/CA16747413.PDF

Looking at sales figures on Autonews.com--it show inventory of 3,600 with a days supply of 47.

Given that many members here are waiting--many weeks stretching to months now--for an ordered one to arrive, it makes you wonder just where the 47 day supply is hiding!

BTW, I also have thought HEY! several times, but it was a Commander.

Haven't seen another driving yet, but I did see one in a driveway about a mile from my own house. I stopped to look at it, but that is the only "other" sighting I've made.

I think you will find the 47 days supply misleading. That number is based on prior sales history. Since none were available the sales figures are artificially low. 3600 in inventory is nothing. That is roughly 2 cars per dealer.

Patriot sighting!

Woo Hoo!

I saw my first "on the road" Patriot today!

I have a little over 2000 miles on my Patriot Sport. Today I saw a red Patriot parked on Riverside Drive in Burbank. I waved but there was no one inside.

saw the first one on th road in Sacramento CA.

Green sport really old guy behind the wheel (he looked 80 I swear) could hardly see over the dash. I would have waived and ask if he liked it but he gave me the "Damn Kids get off my lawn!" look. so I restrained myself he was also rolling the cheapo version 16" wheels and looked like 0 options and I would guess the 4x2.

but the dealer I got mine orderd from had 18 4 weeks ago they now have 1 so there are 17 on the road somewhere.

I haven't seen one in Mississippi except one on the lot which is now also gone. These things cant stay on the lot! I was supposed to test drive one when i went to the dealer and a guy bought it right as i was about to test drive, so they had to pull one off the showroom floor for me to drive it haha

Our dealership has none...first shipment due this week! I test drove one an hour away...and the salesman said the same thing! They had 2 sports left...he sure wasnt pushy either...He was probably thinking it would sell itself...but I was only there for test drive...and after driving the automatic..I realized I still wanted a 5speed..will check one out this week

:D I thought I saw a Patriot. I did, I did. It was a sweet black one just coming out of Boston. I was so excited to finally see one on the road. We couldn't catch up to it though, to give them the ole Jeep wave.

I did manage to see a couple at a dealership about 25 miles north of Boston, however, most of them in stock were either manual or not the color I was looking for.

Another Patriot sighting!

As I was pulling out of the Post Office yesterday I saw a khaki Patriot Limited coming down the street. I stuck my hand out the window and waved. The two guys in it looked puzzled until they saw me give them a thumbs up. They gave me a thumbs up too!
