just picked up my true blue 2013 patriot sport 4x4 with 5spd and 2.4 engine. also have the tire/wheel group and a/c.

it is sweet!

i walked out, after trading in my econony car, owing less than 15k and have bumper to bumper to 85k miles!

sweet....

those people who say this thing is slow, are nuts. it is alot faster than my eco car. And i was just driving normal.

I wish my 2.4 had the 5 speed. That's gotta be fun! The cvt is annoying at times but can be quick when you want it to be. Enjoy! Post some photos when you can! welcome!

Congrats, we are very happy with our 5 speed MT.
does it have any whine in it? do you have a little clunk every time you go into the next gear?

No clunk going into the next gear but it has always had a whine when coasting which goes away when under power. Be sure to check the fluid level in the transaxle even though it is brand new. If you are at all concerned mention it to the dealer.

Welcome to the site. Congrats on your purchase.

second fillup after going 228 miles, had a little less than 1/2 tank left.

27.8mpgs.

Now that was all on back roads, no faster than 62 or so. Had the kids for most of that as well. Trying to break it in, though really it was driven 400 miles to my location for me to take delivery so there is no telling how the driver drove it.

did some light 4x4 ing, well, steep dirt hill climbs. Did quite well.

very happy with 27.8. If I can maintain 25 or 26 on highway at 70mph, i will be very pleased.

No Clunk but slight whine in 5th gear. I have alot of experience with fast cars and to be honest this 4x4 with a stick package is not bad. Its def not a liability on the road like I have heard. May be only the CVT equipped Jeeps are brutal slow.

i agree. this thing is ALOT faster than the car i traded in for it, 2010 hyundai accent 5spd with aem intake.

i know it gets to a certain speed alot quicker than that car did but it doesn't feel like it as it's a much larger vehicle.

i have not pushed it yet, still breaking it in, but have hit 4k or so a little merging and it really picks up in the higher rpms.

been staying less than 3000 or so up till now.
