Well, where do I begin? I recently purchased a new aftermarket navagation radio for my 2011 Patriot... I hooked everything up... and turn the key to power, and got no power to the stereo. I started the car and the electrical system started going haywire! My lights were flashing on and off... Pretty much everything was flashing... It is one of those China aftermarket radios that said was good for a 2011... Does anybody have any ideas besides stay away from the chinese? :p

If it draws more power than the previous unit (likely), then maybe the PCM is interpreting it as a short in the system. You may need to have a dealer "flash" the PCM to recognize the head unit. A second possibility is you actually HAVE a short. I think the work-around for the flash procedure, for which some dealers charge a 1 hr minimum labor fee, is to direct-wire the power lead, on an appropriate fuse, to the battery.
