Gosh! you were the first one Rends!
mmm....look at the difference in shape of A & B pillars between both pics.
Is the dashboard in pic #2 photoshopped?

Kind of like the more squared off corners of the previous pats. Everything about the patriot is square and I guess I liked the consistency.

In general though not really a hill of beans worth of difference.

I like the round airvents. Looks much more solid and not so cheap as the current one.
The door pin doesn´t stick out of the plastic like a nail anymore (first image).

The edges on top of the middle console are rounder and looks more 2008 than 1980 ;)

It´s hard to tell but are the 2 tone doors back like the 07 model ?

Is it only me or is the open glovebox different from the current one? It doesn´t look so deep.

Seems that the headrests are the same. Hey did you know that they were just rated good in a british insurany backend crashtest?

BTW:un4gtbl i found this in the news and rumor forum.

I can see that being a nice interior for the Compass since its more "rounded off" but too weird for the Patriot I think...

Thanks for the exklusiv, Rends. The A-pillar in the first picture doesn't belong to a Patriot, that's for sure. And there are more differences in details between the 2 pictures, so I guess they belong to different cars.

Gotta agree with the rest. The top looks like maybe the Compass and the bottom the Patriot? The pillar angle is much different between the two.

Also notice the center console in the lower picture looks exactly like the current Patriot center console with the ipod holder. I thought they were doing away with this and adding soft touch. It doesn't look like the center console in the pictures posted previously.

Something not quite right here.

Thanks for the pics, and keeping us informed. :smiley_thumbs_up:

It seems to be that the first image shows the 2009 Jeep Compass while the second shows a photoshopped 2008 Patriot with the new dashboard/middle console.

I guess you are not the target but the people who leaved the lot without a Pat because they didn´t liked the Patriot 07-08 interior.

Reread the old reviews and in most you will find that they complain about the interior material/quality.
This should be fixed now.

Something here doesn't add up (leaked before it was finished?). The center armrest in one pic is the same as the outgoing models complete with the integrated ipod holder (which they said was discontinued due to customer feedback).

It doesn't look like the initial renderings we saw a while back either.

They have a leak! ;)

Looks like the opening above the glove box is wider and it almost looks like it it has a non-slip material there, but it's hard to tell.
The changes don't seem significant enough to care too much, I'd still like to see one once they show up on the lots here.
I remember when the Jeep logo used to be that white on my floor mats....

I didnt have a problem with the look of the old dash, just the quality of the material. utilitarian is one thing sure, my 2001 dodge ram is very utilitarian so much in fact the dash is busted in about 5 places...appears to be the same quality plastic in the jeep. The truck is babied and NOTHING is placed on the dash...I guess dust and air are heavy.

We have owned auite a few 90s Chryslers and NEVER had an issue with the dash busting, in fact we still have my brothers 99 Dakota (similar interior to the ram) and have had 0 interior problems, no dash cracking, not even squeaks or rattles.Of course thegine and transmission have been rebuilt (oh, the engine became a 426 stroker and the transmission was rebuilt to handle the extra power with kevlar clutchers and stronger parts :D).

Anywho, I do not really feel the new interior, seems more generic somehow. i am another that didn't have the problem with the old interior, then again i have never understood the big deal. ALL interiors are made of plastic, even if they have a layer of foam on top and I never pet my dashboard so i don't understand the big deal of a soft touch dashboard, I do understand the soft center armrest though, even though i don't have a problem with the one in the Patriot myself.
