My father passed away today after a year long battle with leukemia, was brave up to the end. If I learned one thing from my father is to have a good sense of humor, he was always upbeat up until friday when the hospice started. I ask for prayers for me and my family as we come to grip with out loss.
Thank you and God Bless

SORRY

I'm 67 and I have some major problems. The thing about this site is it gets my mind off of them. Your father wanted you to have a good life and not too greave too long. Our time is short and we must make the best use of it as we can.

I am sure he is in a better place and will be waiting for you and the rest of his loved ones.

Tom,

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Even though it's painful, thank you for sharing this grief with us and know that you are in many peoples thoughts. When the time is right maybe you can share some stories about your Dad and we can all have a laugh and keep his memory alive.

My thoughts are with you. Your dad will be looking over you from up there. Don't forget to ask for his his help and support...you'll see, he will answer in a different way from now on but he will answer. He lives within you.

So sorry to hear about your loss, the only thing I always remember from a close family member was:-

"In life sometimes we regret the things we may say and do"
"When we leave the earth we regret the things that we didn't do"

Take care my friend.

Tom, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Yes, we never want this day to come, and when it does, it always hurts.

A few years back, I was almost in the same spot. My father just had double knee replacement starting at 6AM. At 4PM he had a stroke, they noticed it at 6PM and when the surgeon came in, they weren't able to bust the clot until about 1AM. There was a time that we were not sure if he was going to make it, and when he did come out of surgery, he was not the man I knew before.

Fortunately he did recover to about 90%. I now cherish every moment that I have with him and that he has with his only grandson (my son).

My thoughts are with you and your family. Now I need to email my dad to find out when he and mom are getting here on Saturday so I can give them a hug.
