Hey all,
I'm looking to mount a scanner in my patriot, with a couple things holding me back... I'm not worried about the wiring, I have some background in it and it doesn't look real difficult. I want it to be really low profile, and look clean and not stick out. That's what's holding me back. Where can I put the radio that it's going to fit nice and look good? My interior is impeccable, and I don't want to just screw it to the dash or the shifter shroud. It's not big, the face measures 1 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches. Where are other people mounting CBs or scanners?
I think I'm going to get one of the antennas that mounts in the rear window, although I may get a magnetic one for the roof.
Thanks for helping!

What year is your Patriot? I have my scanner into the cubby hole on the passenger side of my 2016. Small hole drilled in the corner to run the power and antenna wire thru. Mine is wired constant hot. Antenna is a stick on that is on the windshield behind the rearview mirror. Tablet mount is easily tucked under the seat. Used obviously only if I am solo. Mainly on long distance trips and when I am on officer in charge days. Tablet has hydrant locations, haz-mat information and business pre-plans.

If your radio has a remote head you can mount the radio under one of the front seats, and the head pretty much anyplace after that. But if your radio is a single piece unit space is going to be hard to come by.
