Does anyone know if it's safe to pour a bottle of Lucas into the transmission? It's worked wonders on every other vehicle I've used it in, but not sure about this transmission.

The cvt patriot transmission is a whole different ballgame. If it were safe,i would think a major company like lucas would put cvt compatible on the bottle. Besides i would think youwuld have to drain some of the oem transmission fluid out to fit in a bottle lucas. Never touched my cvt but from what ive read it best to leave it to the pros. Like a Jeep service dept
Finall found it on the lucas website in small print. It states its safe in all transmissions with the exception of cvt transmissions. So if you have the cvt trans in your patriot, it is NOT safe
I would only use either OEM Mopar CVT fluid or Valvoline Full Synthetic CVT fluid inside the transmission. No additives or anything until they start making something that is CVT specific. Just to be safe.
