Looking forward to an '09 Patriot

Hello everyone.

I'm in the process of purchasing a 2009 Patriot Sport E 4x4 w/CVT2, and pretty much all the Groups offered in the states. I've really enjoyed reading the posts in these forums, and have learned a lot.

Today, I got into the "Patriots leak" posts, and I'm getting a little freaked out. Does anyone know if the leaks have been fixed in the '09s?

Any '09 owners out there experiencing leak issues?

I picked the Patriot over some other well-qualified vehicles for a lot of reasons, but a leak problem would just ruin the vehicle for me.

Hi Bill and Welcome,

We're looking forward to seeing your new ride too. Yes the leak posts are a little scary but in the end I didn't let it deter me from buying a new 09. We're a pretty small bunch compared to all the Patriot owners out there so the problem probably looks inflated. Alot of people here haven't experienced any issues at all.

Nonetheless I'm keeping any eye on my 09. There are none that I know of yet (*knocks on wood*) that have reported problems.

Remember too, that leak threads abound on just about every forum for all make/model of car.

Go for it and please post pics when you get it.

Welcome to the boards. I read everything I could find on the Pat before I purchased mine. The number of leakers appears to be small compared to the number of Pats out there.
