Can't help you with the event mate, but most Organised professional events require participants to have rated recovery points and the minimum recovery equipment.

 

Would that be tow hooks & straps?

 

Yeah snatch strap and rated shackles, tow points at a minimum.

 

Okay, I can look at getting those. I wish there was more info about the event. I don't want to be so under-performing that it isn't fun, or I get in the way of others. I looked at past years videos and the closest to a Pat I've seen is a stock Jeep WK2.

 

Drive your Patriot to the event park it and watch. Save your Patriot for other uses.

 

If you've got your heart set on entering, I'd get some trail time with some experienced friends before showing up on game day.

My pat has surprised me on what it can do. Crawling in rocky karst hills, unsteady gravel pits, fluffy sand at the coast...it has always gone through stuff I was expecting to have to winch or dig out of. Granted, my expectations were very low coming from a big jeep/truck/tractor family but others on this forum have found found it disappointing.

Your mileage may vary. It ain't a jacked up wrangler but it is better than walking.
