Hi Everyone,

Well, I'm posting because I am the very proud owner of a green 2010 North Edition 4x4 Patriot, with the CVT transmission. I must admit though, since becoming a Patriot owner, I've experienced odd physiological reactions.

I'm having trouble sleeping, and often wake up in the middle of the night, finding my way to the Jeep, simply to sit in it and admire it. A few times I've woken up in a cold sweat, rushing to the window to ensure my Jeep is still there. After going for a drive, I've been told I'm left with a goofy smile on my face (without realizing it on my part). I'm starting to get worried.

And something else that's really out of character: I seem to be anxious for winter, anxious for the snow to fly !

Cheers
Steven

In all seriousness, I am very happy with my Patriot (I've had it a week now). I'm also happy to have found this site. There's a lot of great information (I really hope the 2010 models don't have any leaks, this is something I never heard about). Oh and I like the CVT !

Welcome the the site. By the way, that is the best introduction post I've ever read. I look forward to reading your future posts. Congrats on the new Jeep, you might need to go into rehab for your addiction...but what fun would that be.

All you need is a little fresh air, take that Pat out in the country, find some space for yourself and enjoy.

I drive about 100 miles a day for work, and people always say things like "I bet you're glad winter is over" etc. But I always tell them, I like winter better, there's only so many days when the roads are bad, and the Jeep does well, and there's no road construction in winter, so most of the time my drive is much better in the winter.

Besides, with winter comes hockey season!

Nah ain't a thing wrong wit cha. Jeeps are supposed to make ya feel that way. Its one of the unadvertised perks. Mine's a year old & 13000+ miles of goofy giddy drivin. Just a little info. The more personal tweeks ya add the goofier ya get. :pepper: Trust me a good soundin exhaust upgrade will do wonders for that goofy smile:wow: Ric

LOL! That sounds like a commercial.... why havent' you sent that in yet? Bring on the snow too, I must have had a similar goofy smile on my face after each ride during this past winter, I'm rather anxious to test out the ATs that replaced the stock Wrangler tires and learn how they fare in climate weather. But dont' get me wrong, I don't want to test them in any dangerous manner, hehe.

Hello and welcome! I was crazy when I first got mine too, afraid something was going to happen to it. I was always nervous with a new vehicle. Mine is only 4 months old and some things did happen to it - First, had windshield replaced from being hit by a stone. Just last week someone dented my door in a parking lot. It was a small dent but it bugged me! I was going to let it go, but I couldn't. Every time I got in I looked at it and it made me angry. So I got the dent "sucked" out so to speak but there are still a couple nicks in the paint. They touched up the paint and I will have to live with that. I know many more nicks are to come, but the first one kills you! On the bright side, it cost me $100 to have the dent fixed and they cleaned, waxed and shined her up just like the day I picked her up brand new. It was worth the $100 just for the professional cleaning job. Its the best she's looked in 4 months (besides the nick!) but what can you do. Now she's sitting out front all nice and clean and shiny and I keep looking out thinking how nice she looks. Enjoy it!! They don't stay new forever.
