Hi to all! I have a Patriot 4X4, not Fdii, stick, gasoline.

How to drive downhill? A 10% steep asphalt road 2 miles long. Especially if it rains. Do I use 4X4 plus esp patial off? (Do I need esp when I go downhill?)

When I was 19 & in the motor trade & just been driving for 2 yrs , this was the sort of thing I would do in a Jaguar X-KE or a Vanden Plas 4 litre R--

I used the brakes & gearshift---I never thought to ask anybody........

I'm not biting on this hook. I just know you're taking the Gypsy's Kiss* out of me Colorado Man!

I'm trying to get my head around a Colorado feller even noticing a fifteen percent hill. It was a Colorado bloke last year whose advice for driving on backcountry roads on hard-packed snow was to "try to keep the speed below ninety to a hundred miles an hour"!
