By the way - the cupholders are just the right size for my latte gordo, half-caf , light foam, nutmeg sprinkle, double-cup. And both of my standard poodles, Gigi and Maurice, fit in the rear on their Dooney-Burke cedar-filled pet beds.

no i totally agree with you bobby ... okay, let me rephrase. i wouldn't ever do it to my own patriot, but i think it would still be awesome. whenever i see this picture another forum member took, it looks so much like a descendent of the grand wagoneer to me ... so i totally agree.

 

Yeah, there's just something about a car that looks like it's still backing out of the shipping crate. Maybe we'll see one at one of the custom shows this fall...

 

Silver probably isn't the best color to put wood trim on ... black would look cool i guess (in the way that wood trim looks "cool" that is) ... but here's a shot:

Well, that's what it WAS - a luxuriously-appointed utility vehicle for upper-middle-class suburbanites with a "rugged, outdoorsey" style.

Now, if the Di-Noc was outlined in thick white ash - that would be neat-o!

 

I think it would look better with the wood grain above the side molding only. Remove it from the bottom and front bumper and I think it has a chance.

 

I'm going to need to go out and stare at mine for at least five minutes to get that image of the wood trim out of my mind. uke:

 

Sellers are asking upwards of $30,000.00 for 20 year-old Grand Wagoneers in good shape. Prices of Cherokees are on the rise. Who knows what Patriots are gonna be going for in a few decades? Maybe Jeep has another "classic" on its hands....

Although if it was me, I would prefer a completely stainless steel body, similar to the DMC DeLorean (i.e. Back to the Future)

Wow, sign me up for one. I like my vehicles to be unique and that's pretty cool. Putting it on a Jeep Green one, really sealed the deal. It actually seems like it would be relatively easy to produce.

 

Don't forget about the wheels.

 

I LOVE the old Grand Wagoneer, best car I ever owned. I would still be driving it if I could stomach the gas mileage! A woody patriot would be awesome!

 

They are great in snow!

.. i had the idea to do a black&white wood setup.. looks good on the silver imo.
The boyfriend has 2 '86 Grand Wagoneers, one blue, one burgundy, loves them to this day, and fully intends on restoring at least one. But they're both paperweights in Georgia right now. They've both got the other wheels.. with the bronze..

 

I loved the Wagoneer. I still feel it was the best car I ever owned. Great driver and fun off road. They are just too expensive to drive and maintain now. Check out wagonmaster.com. I keep the keys for my Pat on my old grand wagoneer key fob. I love the woody Pat concept.

lol - yeah, i noticed that too when I was photoshopping - drop it and it looks like a mini-van. lol
