Mine are electric. They are adjusted electrically, and fold electrically, and they are also heated.

Technically, I can't see why it wouldn't be possible, but practically, I can't see any need to fold the mirrors as an afterthought once you have got out.

Some people tend to fold there mirrors in while they are places like grocery stores, its less likely someone will hit them, or open a door into them from big trucks. I've seen a few mirrors get broken off, it would actually be a really good idea.

I don't dispute that, the point I was trying to make was that you can (at least on mine) fold the mirrors in before exiting the car (and I often do). I can't see a need to get out of the car, walk some distance away, and then think to fold them.

What year were "electrically" folding mirrors and option? Surely not '08, 'caused I asked! The sales brochure stated, "electrically folding mirrors" but what they meant was the mirrors were electrically adjusted, and MANUALLY folded...

Must have been on the euro spec Pats, along with rear fog lights, rear roof mounted radio antenna, electronically adjustable headlight leveling, and diesel engine. The diesels weren't allowed here, but I have no idea why we got short changed on the other features... especially for the Limited models.

I want it all!! lol!
edit: I have an 07 ltd and my mirrors adjust electronically but fold manually. They're not heated either.

My '13 limited has power adjustable heated mirrors but they are the MANUAL fold away. Limited should have some more of these nice things darn it.

I think this would be a cool feature. When locked, they fold in for tight parking spaces and safety, then unfold when unlocked. I'd want it. I feel like it'd be costly to buy eurospec electric mirrors w/ motors for that plus the additional wiring and remotes to fold them from inside not to mention figure out how to wire them to fold when locked. This would be a daunting task.

I know some new cars have that feature. I wonder how they would hold up to being manually folded with the electrics in them, say if you ran into something or bumped them.
