Not that big of a deal, but last weekend when I took my Patriot off-road to go hunting, I was worried that the stock metal antenna was going to get ripped off by brush swiping against the vehicle. So I ordered one of the AntennaX flexible off-road antennas and installed it yesterday. No more worries about losing it, and it has the added benefit of looking cool.

For those of you who have modified your Patriots, what was your first move?

Actually, I got rid of the single tone horn in favor of a auto store two-tone one...the "beep-beep" which was fine on my military jeep, just didn't fit the Patriot. The trailer hitch and wiring. Then better headlamps--SilverStars, I believe. Weathertech floor and cargo liners. Backup camera to go with my Garmin GPS. I still have my stock antenna--the '08's lasted 130,000 miles of narrow roads w/trees and brush, and car washes, so no change to my '16 in that respect.

Hitch, front tow hooks, rear shackle, roof cross bars, roof basket, wider tires, K&N intake, spot lights, light bar, new xenon lights by sylvania, weather tech mats and cargo, power inverter, touch screen stereo w/ reverse camera, color changing head lights....., I think that’s it still need better speakers, still deciding if I should change the horn.. oh I almost forgot side steps.

weathertech floor liner, but I just put a set of 225/75R16 tires on it today with 1.25" wheel spacers and it works good. ot a bunch of other stuff in the works too ( roof mounted hard cases, led lights behind the grill, front and rear mounted roof lights for setting up camp in the dark...)
