Not sure if this is the right area for this, but has anyone had any noise issues from the plastic engine splash shield located under the car? Sometimes when I got over bumps, I get a nasty rumbling sound, checked everything out and switched out my sway bar bushings, this helped. However, every now and then I still get this noise. When I was under the car, I gave the shield a couple good taps where I think the sound is coming from and to my untrained ear the sounds are identical. Frankly, I don’t see it being loose or anything. Has anyone noticed any noises being caused by this piece of plastic?

If the tabs broke, its definitly possible there could be some sounds coming from it. Not sure if they would be rumbling, like you describe though.
There are some "wings" on that splash shield that go up into the wheelwell. Maybe one of them is flapping?
