That'd be my price point as well. No more than $40.00 including shipping. I'll keep waiting.

 

I have inquired with the seller about the price and availability. Here is what I wrote and his response to it:

I'm one of many Jeep Patriot owners here in the US and member of the Patriot forum. There has been quite an interest among Patriot owners in head lamp rings. Is there any way you can sell rings only? If the price is right, you should be able to fulfill a lot of orders. For example, there are chrome mirror covers that go for $50, also door handle covers that are around $25. As is, this is pretty steep price for this set even for the US members. Please let me know what you think and I can pass along your decision onto the forum and see if a price will catch the interest.


-We have already put the rings on selling, please do not doubt the price. Just remember, price=quality, your group could purchase one first for trying, if it meets your satisfaction then you could place a bigger order on that.


So looks like we have to wait and see until someone else will start making those and sell them cheaper because at this price of $103 I know I'm not buying two plastic rings.

 

I am waiting and watching,,, however to speed things up, perhaps it would be helpful sending loads of emails to a certain company to produce those such as Putco, E & G Classics or any other place that I am not aware of...let's keep it "Made in the USA"

 

So it's a ring...that goes around your headlights? What's the point other than something shiny?

 

As an old guy, I remember all CJ's had them. Maybe I'm too traditional, but I think that little bit of chrome would enhance the Patriot's rather plain "face" just like it did for all those CJ's over the years. $.02

i like chrome on a vehicle as long as it keeps an elegant and discreet look and doesn't make it flashy giving it a bling-bling look.
but then again,it's a question of taste.
i mean,i have seen chrome excess around here,sometimes to the ridiculous...(but that's just my opinion)

 

My next project may involve getting the front fenders chromed or chrome the rock rails, Bling Bling, the Gypsy Wagon Look. I'm already there, about Chromed out. Any ideas ? I can get chrome window tint. My Patriot is easy to spot in a crowd.

If they were headlight rock shields I'd spring for a pair but I'm not interested in chrome guy-liner for my Jeep. To each his own, though.

Actually, I'm the guy that started negotiating with these guys to place the headlight trim rings separately on E-bay, so we wouldn't have to buy the whole package that they offer (mirror covers, door handles, etc.). This auction for $103 includes the trim rings and the grill slots. My grill is already done, so I only want the headlight trim, but I guess they aren't going to offer that. I'm just going to wait until someone else has them for a reasonable price.

Ive seen other sellers from Taipei offering both the door handles and mirror covers as a package for around $50US with free shipping. I would gladly purchase these items from you if they were a more reasonable price. In my opinion 2 plastic rings with chrome plating should be around $30 US max with shipping of maybe $10. If you decide to make an adjustment for the price, please let me know and Ill pass it on to my other forum members who would love to have these. too expensive in my opinion,considering it is taiwanese plastic chromed.
don't want to be mean or anything,but i sincerely doubt the quality of the chrome layer in those as opposed to say,startech or vmaxx chrome items.
at least with those you pay for quality.
i have the startech chrome grille in 7 pieces and the quality is fantastic.
i wouldn't consider fitting those as for me it would be too much chrome on the front,but
to be honest they are expensive for what they are.

I got new OEM chrome 17's for my Tiburon and the centercaps were not chrome. I sent them to him and he chromed them for me for $20 shipped. Amazing finish and a note that if you chrome it for exterior use you need to clear coat it with any acrylic clear spray.

 

Hmm, I like that idea! I've wanted to get the end pieces(mounts) of my roof rails chromed since I had the last Riot. Might have to look into this.

Headlight trim is now available as low as $39.99 on eBay. Wonder if possible to paint/dip them black, hmmm???
