Does anyone know how to turn off or disconnect the daytime running lights. I did not want them in the first place, but it was part of a package that came with the car. So I woud like to have them turned off. Thanks.
If your handy with 12v wireing you could always rewire the headlights around the DRL Box.The only way to turnoff your DRL is to put in a voltage control relay that will only let the power thru say at 10V when head lights are manually turn on. You don’t want the voltage control relay much higher than that in case you alternator goes out. The relay are about $ 80.00 a piece you would need two one for each side. They need to handle 5 AMP so a diode won’t work very long before burning up.
That is true, anything can be integrated into the ECU on these jeeps. Tho it is highly unlikely this would happen. If you want to test my theory unplug the headlights and see what happens.Possible but the module might throw out a code if the 6 volt reading is not there.
Well then it should work rewireing them. you dont have to take the power away from the module. just send power from the headlight switch straight to the headlights. leave the module wired in so it thinks its working. No that wont work you are still feeding power thru the module
