Does anyone know how to turn off or disconnect the daytime running lights. I did not want them in the first place, but it was part of a package that came with the car. So I woud like to have them turned off. Thanks.
although its true they are supposedly a safety feature, i dont know why chrysler had to make them do that the damn things dont turn off when the parking lights are on, or the parking + fog lights are on, I love this look on just about any vehicle, and the drl's mess it all up!May I ask what people (with the majority being from the US) have against DRLs? I mean they're a great safety feature (for weather where you don't really need your headlights on, but you do want light so people can easily see you), and I can't really understand why people are so against them, but they're standard on all new vehicles here in Canada so I guess I'm just used to them.
I've seen cars here with plates from New York, driving around at night without ANY lights on at all... kinda scares the hell out of you when they appear out of nowhere.![]()
In some states it is becomming a law that you drive with your lights on. The dealer has a switch that turns your day runners off, I went to mine after I purchased it and asked that they do so and it didn't cost me anything for them to turn them off.
Not sure if you actually need a module or not, you at least need the dealer to use their magical StarScan tool thoughIf your vehicle was not built with DRLs, then the you need to add a module. I'd see the dealer about it.
