Hey guys! I need a little help here with an audio question. I always get confused when people start talking numbers and values. Heres my dilema...
I cant find the thread that lists the specs for the stock head unit. I have the single disk head unit with the base speaker system. I really want to replace my speakers with component systems. I like the idea of having the seperate tweeters up top. I was looking at getting a 6 1/2" component system, and getting adapters to mount them in the 6x9 spot. After research I came to the conclusion that 6.5's are better then 6x9's. Is this correct?
Second, if I just to happen to accidently
doh
buy a 4 ohm component system, am i screwed? I read on here a couple times that the stock head unit is 2 ohms and that if you use 4 ohm speakers on a 2 ohm system, they will work, but you cant blast them.
If this wont work at all, could someone suggest an amplifier I could purchase to drive these speakers. Is there such thing as a small sized amp to drive these that I could hide in the dash? Heres a link to the speakers:

Let me know how bad I messed up!
Thanks in Advance!
