I've taken my 2008 Patriot on two road trips (3,000 plus kilometers-paved roads) each time I was stranded on the highway with an empty radiator. It cost me $800 plus each time to replace the radiator. The dealership tells me the radiator is not very well protected by the bumper and grill, so rock chips are not uncommon when driven on the highway. I will need to pay another $800 to get a screen installed to fix this problem. Why wouldn't Chrysler pay for this? I assumed when I bought the vehicle it was safe to drive on the hioghway. Anyone else have this problem?
