I was just woundering if there was anyone else in the Ottawa valley that is part of this forum. It would be cool to get trail meets going in the area. there are some great trails in the Calabogie area to run if anyone is interested. Anyway just post where you are and if you would be up for such a thing.

Ya the front bars can be pricy, some don't even come with the mounting kit. I will be posting new pics of my pat soon with the bull bar on it. i just got mine off of an older GMC jimmy and painted it. Then I made my own mounting brackets. In total i spent like $30 to make for everything. As for mudding your new jeep the K&P trail in Calabogie isn't that hardcore so you dont have to worry about breaking anything.

me again

where do you come from, Ottawa, but where in Ottawa.
I come for Upland btw, right by the airport.

I was thinking about your bumper job. I ve been thinking about it. alot...
where did you get the steel for the braket? a scrap yard?

I ve seen your pics, really good looking Jeep!
I love your tire... which bring me to my last question.
I notice that you have the OEM mag (for OEM 215 wide tire...) but you have 245 wide tire...
we can do that??? I thought I would have to change mag for wider tire ?!?!

I actually live in Arnprior which is about 30 min west of Ottawa. The steel for the front bar I bought from TSC store, you could even buy it at princess auto as well. To answer the question about the tires, yes you can use the larger tires on the stock wheels but you will need a lift kit and a 1" positive offset so they don't rub the fenders. there are also some front fender modifications you need to make so they don't rub. My jeep has the RRO lift and 1" wheel spacers all around so everything works well.

I'm in Orleans too, but I drive all over the city each day. Count me in for any happenings. I think there are enough in this thread to make something interesting...

So... meeting???

Don't wanna put pressure but, where and when....

I count 5 Pat owner on this thread. 2 east 2 west and me south ottawa...
So the center would be Ottawa, my opinion, lets stay away from downtown.
Hunt club is easy access from everywhere, but might be far from our friend from west...
anysuggestion?? tim horton somewhere maybe?
evening week or weekend day ??

Question for Jeepthing, I thnink about the RRO kit too, but....
did your lift kit change your fuel consuption?? city and highway?? I guess highway would change since its highier... right?

No the lift kit will not affect your fuel mileage but the larger tires you can use after the lift will slightly. As per a meeting we could do it sometime on a weekend. Maybe if we all go on a Saturday to just off huntclub where everyone brings there cars. I think it's in the zellers parking lot near the tim hortins or something.

I'm living off of Merivale Rd., so Hunt Club would work for me :).... have you guys had any problems with yours yet (well besides the rear torsion arms, rear toe links, font and control arm bushings)?

If you guys haven't already, I suggest that you guys check out "Jeep Patriot Canada" on Facebook, quite a few people on there from Ontario. :)
