I took off the screws on the top Of the grill and pulled it forward...Then I put cardboard in between the grill and the engine. Then I taped the front bumper with painting tape and covered the headlights then sprayed plasti dip right on. Too much effort to take the whole thing off.
Exactly what I did but I put some spare sockets on either side of the grill to keep it pulled forward a little bit so I could spray the sides. I feel this allowed for better coverage, stronger hold, and when it comes time hopefully easier removal.
I'm looking to do this same thing to my patriot.
Is plasti dip the only kind of paint you can use or could you spray the grill with a black primer rustoleum spray paint?
