Well It happened today. It has been pouring rain this afternoon and I got in and started to back out of the parking space I was in and water poured out of the dome light. I also noticed some drops on the A pilar on the passenger side. So to the dealer I go.

I still cringe everytime I see a leak thread. Sorry about the problem but do let us know the outcome.

I was telling nosirrahg that I was getting my Jeep delievered to the same dealership he bought his from. He told me that he had a leak as well, I don't remember him saying anything about that . HOwever they fixed it right off as soon as parts came in . unlike other dealerships that say **** like oh you have a sunroof they all leak.....wasnt the sunroof by the way.

Well took it in today. They called me and said the problems were with one of the drain tubes on the right side. They also said my sunroof was not aligned properly. They said they fixed everything but they wanted to replace the sunroof gasket because since the sunroof was misaligned it left an impression in the gasket. Of course they don't stock the gasket so it won't be done until tomorrow. I did ask for a rental so I got stuck with a dodge caravan. They said for jeep owners they rent comanders but they didn't have any. Darn it.

True. But I think the potential still exists and I'm keeping a close eye on mine. At least in the tailgate, it looks like the same washer tube/o-ring used in the 07 and 08, the one firemothjoe came up with a fix for. We've had some really heavy downpours here and no leaks that I can find *knocks on wood*.Nick I dont think enough 09s are in people's hands to complain yet
I don't have sunroof so hopefully no issues there. I did notice QC check marks though on and next to the rubber oring on mine, so maybe the factory is paying special attention to it, making sure none come off the line leaking.
BTW, let us know when your 09 comes in. I'm eager to see the beige interior.

Got my baby back today. Here is what they did: adjusted sunroof found body seam at right visor leaking resealed seam. Right sunroof drain out of position repair and rerouted drain. Replaced sunroof glass seal. It was raining when I picked it up and so far no leaks. Right before me a woman was picking up her patriot. I wanted to ask her if she had the same problem but didn't get a chance to. So hopefully everything will be ok.

Good luck. It's been a long, crappy battle for me and it's still not right. I just posted some pics under my leak thread in the exterior forum (probably in the wrong spot but oh well)... best of luck getting it corrected! I really think it depends on the dealer, and mine happens to suck.
