Best tire wet?

My next question: what is the best, shiniest, longest-lasting tire wet that you know of?

It's worth pointing out that I am looking for that really obnoxious shine that I know some of you don't like (I grew up in Jersey, give me a break). I have tried pretty much every generic brand at the auto parts stores and am mostly unimpressed. I totally appreciate the deep black matte look but just prefer something way glossier. Does someone on the inside of the detailing or auto dealer industry have a source for me?

As a little kid, I remember my dad used to get his car washed at these super-sketchy car washes in inner city NJ, where all kinds of interesting people would swarm your car afterwards to dry it off and dress it. Anyway, one of those guys had a plastic milk jug with the side ripped off, with some really tasty looking brownish liquid sloshing around in there, and he would paint it on the tires with an old paintbrush. I don't know what that stuff was, but it lasted forever.

i use armor-all on the tire sidewalls, don't get it on the tread!!!!

you can also by a tire dressing bottle from the dealer,

they gave me a box with car wash concentrate , tire dressing, wheel cleaner, all purpose cleaner when i went in for a oil change last year, i still haven't used it, but im gonna this weekend when i give the jeep a full detail.

I think the answers you get will be as different as the people who use the products. I was using Meguirs Insane Shine Tire Spray but have switched to Stoners More Shine for Tires. They both give that deep wet look that will last for a couple of weeks. I prefer the Stoners only because it's easier to apply.

I just ordered a gallon of Meguiar's Hypershine from their detailer's line. The stuff was about $50.00 with shipping and it's on backorder, so it better be good. Will post updates whenever it comes!

There was a time, before the tire shines available today, when we used to use "black vinyl roof wax" for the tires. Not sure you can even find that today, since there aren;t any more black vinyl roofs, lol. It was like a black wax, worked well, and you could use it on black trim, and it would cover any OOPS from wax getting on the trim.

I'm going to try some of the longer lasting stuff you guys told us about. I've been using Armor All, byt really don;t like it much.

I have tried everything as I bet you have,I also like to keep things nice and shinny. The best "wet look" tire shine by far is Stoner More Shine it comes in a spray bottle that looks a lot like the other best know Stoner product Invisible Glass maybe the best window cleaner made for automobiles but also works well in the household. Good Luck p.s. The Stoner More Shine will last a long time and the bright shine will last about 1 week no matter rain or shine "it stands up well during and after rain.

Im a fan of the turtle wax Ice tire shine. The Ice division of turtle wax is some good stuff. Plus it comes in a great bottle that has a brush around the nozzle so you just spray and wipe with the brush provided on the bottle. Good stuff. Looks wet and lasts until your next car wash...but that may vary since I wash my cars often.

Meguiar's NXT Insane Shine spray looks wonderful and it lasts quite a lot. It will leave your tires (provided you've cleaned them thoroughly) with an very reflective wet look. It will go away in about 24 hrs to leave a dark matte look that I find to be very pleasing. The only down side to it is that the product will stain the ground, so never apply it on your driveway.

Endurance High Gloss is probably my favorite tire shine. Very easy to apply and looks great. Wipe off any excess as it may 'sling' and stain the car's paint.

I've always used "Black Magic tire shine" or whatever it's called, but since I only buy Meguiar products, I switched to Meguiar's NXT Insane Shine. I must say that the Meguiar's tire shine is nowhere near as "wet" and shiney as the Black magic. I think after this bottle runs out, I will go back to Black Magic. It looked like your tires were dipped in polish. Meguiar's is a blah. It looks clean, not wet.
