Just purchased a 2010 Patriot and it has the dreaded stalling after fill up. I see that the rollover valve is the suspected culprit and wondered if anyone has either devised a fix for the valve or has found a fairly inexpensive new tank replacement?(if so where)
I can't see paying over a grand for a tank when keeping just short of full does the trick. Thought by now someone may have came up with a cheap work-around.
Just in my thinking, I thought that if the full tank with a stuck valve splashed fuel to the canister causing the issue then maybe a fuel drop out of sorts might work. Was thinking kind of like a moisture trap in an airline system may work to keep the fuel from getting to the canister?
I don't know, just a quick brainstorm but would love to hear the answers and comments.
