Hi there,

I guess we all want again that peculiar car smell that came with the pat and now has gone. Has anyone found in an autozone or pepboys or wherever a product that has the same aroma? I went today to my local autozone and all the sprays labeled as "authentic new car" are far from this. Thanks for your comments.

Quite frankly I thought the car stunk and couldn't wait to get the smell the hell out of there. It had that PCP plastic smell from the rubbermaid dash I suspect, sure as hell the last thing I would want would be a can of that stink.

I had the headliner replaced when my sunroof was put in. Must have been the same glue that holds the carpet as it renewed my 'new car smell.'

Next time at the Jeep service garage smell the 'Mopar Total Clean' they sell. It's a really decent cleaner on it's own and has a smell pretty close to new car.

 Sorry Jimmy but let me revise my post for you.

No I have not got a clue where you could get such a vile smell in a can as that one but good luck to you in finding it.

I hope that suits your standards Jimmy. I am out of here.

Hey! not exactly the same same aroma but another "new car" scent different from the annoying vainilla, coco or cherry.
I agree with you jimmy, Total Clean might do the trick...

get some 'wonder wafers' they come in all varieties, but my two personal favorites are ' new leather' which smells exactly as it looks, and 'new car'. The new car is by FAR the best I've ever encountered, and I usually hate the new car smell from pepboys, autozone, etc. They're little wafer shaped pieces of cardboard that you simply place underneath your seats. They don't stain the carpet, smell great, you just have to order them online. I picked up a tub of 250 for about $20 last year. I've still got some left.
